The OP’24 will take place over 5 days from 18 - 22 November 2024 at the headquarters of the UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC/UNESCO). It will be a 5-day, in-person event co-led with IOC/UNESCO and Mercator Ocean International.  Registration for OP’24 occurs in two steps: 
- Pre-Registration, which closed on June 17, 2024. The pre-registration & call for abstract period for OP’24 has now officially closed. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has registered early and shown such enthusiastic interest in our event.
- Full Registration, opening soon. Our team is now preparing for the full registration phase, which will open out by the end of June / early July. Please stay tuned for further updates on our website if you have not pre-registered. Full Registration is mandatory for all, including those who have pre-registered.

We are not charging a registration fee so will provide the use of rooms, poster, etc. for free. However, we will require your individual contribution to pay for your catering needs (see practical info). At this point in time, we are not able to set the exact cost per individual but estimate it will be in the range of 150-200€ per person. We are intending to inform you about the catering costs and invite you to make payment at the full registration stage.
