About

Marie Drevillon is oceanographer at Mercator Ocean. She started working on global ocean forecasting systems in 2004, and since 2009 she has been managing the validation of Ocean Monitoring and Forecasting Systems. She is now involved in various aspects of the scientific coordination of the Copernicus Marine Service (marine.copernicus.eu), from scientific quality assessment to the production of ocean reanalyses. She is interested in all aspects of operational oceanography, and in particular in the provision of uncertainty information for all types of users and is therefore involved in IV-TT activities. Marie Drevillon holds a PhD in Climate Physics from the Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse, France. She worked at LEGOS on ocean biogeochemistry and coupling with the ocean physics, and at CERFACS on ocean modeling and data assimilation before joining Mercator Ocean.
