About
Marie Drevillon leads the operations and monitoring department where Mercator Ocean’s analyses and forecasts are produced, as well as ocean state indicators and uncertainty information for all types of users. She is involved in various aspects of the scientific coordination of the Copernicus Marine Service (marine.copernicus.eu), from scientific quality assessment to the production of ocean reanalyses. She is co-chair of the OceanPredict science team since 2023.
Marie Drevillon holds a PhD in Climate Physics from the Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse, France. She worked at LEGOS on ocean biogeochemistry and coupling with the ocean physics, and at CERFACS on ocean modeling and data assimilation before joining Mercator Ocean.
